A Beautiful Day in Makapu'u

Makapu'u Ridge - June 8, 2017

Aprille wanted to hike. She was going to take her friend Anna with her. Also Clayton wanted to hike with Aprille. They decided on an easy hike, one that is a good meet and greet. Hence, Makapu'u Ridge.

Aprille picked me up in Mililani and drove us to Makapu'u. It was about 8:30am. Not wanting to hang out at the parking lot, Aprille, Anna, and I proceeded to go up the ridge and not get seen by some phantom guard who would turn us away. I had to take a piss badly. We got up to where we couldn't be seen from the parking lot. I jumped into some koa haole trees to empty out.

We continued on the ridge at a slow pace waiting for Clayton. We saw him coming up from the parking lot or what seemed to look like him.

We finally met up at the crest of the ridge. He brought his friend Nimai, I think that was his name. The goal today was to get to the puka. It was good to talk story with everyone.

We saw a group at the puka taking pictures. Aprille took their group picture. One girl was pretty hot, but she was a little to thin. We enjoyed the puka to ourselves for a long time. We even got some rain on this hot ass day. After about 1 hour at the puka we went back.

Post hike meal was at Pa'ina Cafe. I got the Hawaiian poke bowl which was tasty. But I could make kalua pig better. The lomi was a little salty. The poke was excellent this time.

It was good to meet new peeps in the hiking community.
